Conor Cullinane, Ph.D.
Conor obtained a BS in aeronautical engineering from Clarkson University. While there, he also received minors in biomedical engineering and mathematics. He is interested in leading engineering teams to successful technology implementations, not by ordering action to be taken, but rather taking action and motivating others to do the same. Conor obtained a PhD in Medical Engineering & Medical Physics at MIT and Harvard Medical School in the Health Sciences and Technology Program. He has expertise in human factors engineering, medical engineering, medical physics, and startups.
Matthew received a B.S. in aeronautical and mechanical engineering from Clarkson University. He received a MSc in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He has expertise in fluid dynamics, turbomachinery, design, and testing. He is interested in developing and providing unique engineering solutions.
Joe Nemmers is an executive with four decades of experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. In 2007 he retired with 28 years of service from Abbott Laboratories as Executive Vice President of Diagnostics, where he was a member of the Abbott executive leadership team.
Since then he has worked mostly in private equity in the healthcare space as a board member and advisor. He has served on the boards of Warburg Pincus portfolio companies Constitution Medical Investors and Accriva Diagnostics, where he served as chairman of the board. Until mid-2021 he was a board member of DNA Diagnostic Centers, a GHO Capital company, before it’s successful sale to Eurofins. He is presently an advisor to Pirouette Medical in Boston.
Nemmers graduated from Arizona State University in 1979 with a bachelor of science degree in history, and an Army ROTC commission. He served thirteen years as an armor officer in the US Army Reserve across a number of command and staff positions. He is presently pursuing his masters degree in history from ASU. He is the author of eight books including “30 Observations on Leadership.”
Arunas Chesonis is a Managing Partner on the investment team at Safar Partners. He has a long history in sustainability and has supported numerous environmental and renewable energy research projects at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to address climate change. He has also personally invested in the past 10 years in cleantech, life sciences, and information technology ventures through his involvement at universities in Boston and Rochester. Arunas also serves as CEO of Sweetwater Energy. Prior to Sweetwater, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PAETEC Holding Corp., a Fortune 1000 telecommunications company acquired in 2011 by Windstream Corp. (NASDAQ: WIN), one of the largest national telecom carriers. Arunas founded PAETEC in 1998.
He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from MIT, an MBA from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester, and an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from the University of Rochester. Arunas is also a member of the M.I.T. Corporation and is a life trustee of the University of Rochester.
